Expressions of Interest

Forest Development Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (FDC) is an autonomous organization established under Khyber Pakhtunkhwa FDC Act, 1977 and re-constituted through Khyber Pakhtunkhwa FDC Ordinance, 1980. Its functions as laid down in the ordinance are to harvest the forests, sale of forest produce, establish primary wood processing units and forest regeneration. FDC is adopting management practices quite favourable to economic, social and ecological interests and redirecting its entire timber operations towards creation of employment opportunities, infrastructure development and other economic goals which coincide with the objectives of our National Forest Policy.

2. FDC intends to operationalize its Wood Processing Project Havelian (WPPH) popularly known as HAZARA DOORS HAVELIAN, District Abbottabad and Carpentry Section of Saw Mill Mansehra on rental basis. FDC with this intent hereby invites experienced and reputable national and international firms / entities / individuals to manage the units in a prudent manner and help promote Wood Processing and employment generation in the area.

The fundamental principle of renting of these units will be that all sort of investments on repair and maintenance / operationalization / up-gradation of the units will be borne by the private party (lessee). The interested parties are required to submit their expressions of interest and rent bids for the required open space, machinery sheds, machinery and office space etc, and other buildings separately for each unit with following information:-

• Organizational structure along with CV of the key personnel of the firm/company.

• Details of forest work related experience in wood based industry or other projects.

• Details of financial standing, with authentication from the banks / financial institutions.

•    Any    other    documents in support of the credentials / financial standing.

3.    Each  party  must attach a call deposit of

100,000/- rupees in the name of MD FDC, Peshawar which will be refundable to the unsuccessful bidders while the CD of the highest bidder will be retained as processing fee.

4. The details about the WPPH and Carpentry Section of Saw Mill Mansehra Machinery and other    assets    can be obtained from the office of MD FDC, Phase-V, Hayatabad Peshawar or MFO Office in Mirpur Abbottabad. The interested parties may also inspect the sites before the submission of their bids. Expressions of Interest / bids must be submitted on the following address by 29.10.2013.
